Altar Guild

The St. Barnabas Altar Guild is a group of women and men called to serve God by preparing the altar for the various services throughout the church calendar year. These volunteer members work behind the scenes offering their time and talents to care for the sacred vessels, the bread, the wine, the fair linens, assist with altar coverings, silver and brass polishing, dusting, candle trimming, flower arranging, etc. The Guild makes sure the altar is set up before service, broken down after service, and that all vessels are cleaned and stored. It is a special time to learn and participate in a fulfilling experience that is essential to every church service. New members are always welcome to share in this ministry of service.
